Thoughts on these taupe booties

Sorry for being a forum hog. I purchased these Calvin Klein taupe boots on the weekend. They are comfortable and would be a stretch for me for footwear in terms of colour. I liked them when I brought them home but am not sure. Do you think they are a bit clunky looking at the front? Should I try and find the petty bootie instead? All comments appreciated.

I think these are lovely Glory and if you already know they are comfortable, why not keep? What's making you question them?

Thanks Shannon. I am a very unsure shopper and end up returning a full 90% of what I purchase. I am not sure what has created this. My teenage son (16) tells me it is my nature. The colour is out of my comfort zone. They have a bit of lining in them - would them make them warm? Suede might be hard to manage. Sigh. Who knows.... I need a major intervention.

I LOVE them and think they will work brilliantly with your wardrobe and your complexion. They will also be a near-nude for you. Wear them with pride! There is suede protector stuff you can get. I worried about my suede or nubuck DV booties but they held up quite well with some very heavy wear, even in rain.

I have a pair of booties in a similar colour - they work with just about everything:) What Suz said - you need to protect the suede before you wear them.

Cute and they don't look clunky in the photos to me. This is a surprisingly versatile boot color actually, can work equally well whether your hair is light or dark, along with both light and dark outfits. I vote use the suede rain protector spray and wear away.

I think they are cute and don't look clunky. I think the heel and shaft look quite sleek and like the zipper detail on the back. Nice.

Glory, my kids tell me the same thing - that I'm not happy with anything.
These are lovely boots! I have suede Pettys in moss green. I sprayed them with protectant and have tried to be careful abour only wearing them in dry weather. They seem to be holding up fine, except for one spot where I managed to gouge the top of the right shoe. But, I did something similar with a leather bootie, so it must be me and not the booties : )

Love! And a shoe the color of your hair is so easy. Wear them with pretty much anything and they match automatically!

I bought a pair of taupe/gray booties earlier this year and have been amazed by how easy they are to wear because of my blonde hair. I love them so much that I didn't hesitate to buy a pair of pointy toe flats in the same color. They go with so much! Just know that even with suede treatment they will show more wear than a darker pair of shoes will. However, the great thing about the style you chose is that they have a bit of edge to them, so the fact that they aren't pristine and polished isn't going to detract from them. You are going to love them!

I really like them. The slight heel looks great and will be comfortable. The color and style are versatile and could work with lots of outfits.
