Thoughts on these black purses (pt.2)

Hi everyone. So, the orignial bag I asked about didn't happen because the seller no longer had it and forgot to take it off the site. Boo.

After a bit more looking, I'm down to 2. They are more than the original, but it's still within my budget. Both are still black leather. My plan would be to carry one of these 2 bags for the next few years and it would serve as a professional/nice purse.

The first is another Kate Spade -

The other is a B. Makowsky -

The Kate Spade is a hobo and the B. Makowsky is a tote. They are both a good size for me. My questions about them are will they stay fairly current for another few years? I know how B. Makowsky holds up, but I've never had a leather Kate Spade. Will it hold up well?

I think I might be leaning towards one, but I'd rather not say which so I don't basis opinions. Thanks everyone!

I had a bag very similar to the Kate Spade--did I say this on the other thread? Please forgive me if I'm repeating myself. The leather was soft and pebbly and it never showed a sign of wear, and DD wore it for a few years after I was done with it. It looked like new forever.

My problem with it was that after a while it just did not feel professional to me. I was uncomfortable with the slouchiness. This is probably because I was slowly discovering that I'm more polished than I thought I was (though still not super polished).

If you think you can happily wear a hobo for the next few years, I can definitely recommend the KS.

@Adelfa - I don't think you said that on the other thread, but that purse was more of a tote than a hobo. Thanks for the recommendation!

I am 100% for the Kate Spade. No one kill me, but I think the Makowsky is already dated.

Another vote for the Kate Spade. I think that style is pretty classic and will always be around because some people are always going to prefer the slouchy look.

I look forward to seeing it. I don't think the pictures of either bag do them justice. The KS does look like it would have the longer lifespan (fashion wise)

Doesn't it stink when you think you've got something purchased but then "something happens" and you don't get it? Happened to a blazer I was stalking for a really long time. *sigh*
