A few weeks ago I posted about needing some dressy flats to wear on appropriate occasions since my 6-year-old AGLs had become too uncomfortable. Thank you to all who offered ideas. I ended up buying a pair of SAS dressy flats--a usually reliable brand for me. Nope, Too big in the heel and barely comfortable on my foot, so that an N or a size smaller probably wouldn't work.
Since our charities aren't doing residential pick ups yet, I decided to try the AGL again and as I fished them out, I remembered that last year I bought a shoe stretcher. After some stretching they are wider across the bunion. They haven a 1 1/4" heel so seem dressier. These shoes cost $392 originally and weren't worn out, just a couple of scuffs.
Here they are with me wearing a Lands End tee and an NAS pair of black NYDJ and the shoes. I usually have the Marilyn NYDJ hemmed up an inch or so.
Also note another 3" chopped off my hair. I think another inch will do it for me. The last photo is me before the haircut. Those are Joe's paperbag waist cropped jeans bought pre-NAS. Tight in the waist--but Joe's usually stretch out for me after wearing.
Sharkie, who has not been in good health for a couple of months, is doing much better. He's decided he needs to nap right in the middle of the bedroom so that we have to step around him almost every time we go into the room.
I bought 2 other pairs of jeans and a pair of Nikes on the sale. I'll post them later.
