I remember the days of asking around friends what they might be wearing to a certain event, so as not to be 'over' worse 'under' dressed.
Now I am just happy to be 'best' dressed

Oh I love Adichie! I've read all of her books & she's just fabulous. I hope she's working on an essay collection.

Thanks for sharing this, Anna. I definitely will watch her TED.
I love her writing and would strongly recommend it, too -- Half of a Yellow Sun was gripping and devastating, and I am currently reading Americanah for one of the book groups I belong to. She is incredibly talented.

Great article. I will listen to the TED Talk later. I do tend to enjoy TED talks.

Although, I do get where she is coming from about expectations for being taken seriously. Maybe not in all fields, but definately in mine and definately in my part of the country.
