I don't need a skirt, and wasn't looking for one, but I just couldn't resist trying the Halogen Asymmetrical Zip Pencil Skirt because I love pencil skirts.

The fit is outstanding. I sized up one size because it looked narrow and I was right. Perfect fit in the waist and hips on my pear shape. When you see it in person you will not believe the low price for the quality and design details.

Exact quote from my Mom, 'You MUST buy that in every color'. I ended up with two colors. Not 100% sure I will keep both, because as I said, I don't need a skirt but this will replace one in my closet that does not fit nearly as well. The navy is my favorite.

ETA: A really bad picture with the wrong undergarments and the first pair of heels I could grab. But you get the idea of how it fits me.

Yes, it's beautiful. Did you see the top that makes it a two piece dress? Pretty cool. Not the right neckline for everyone but interesting, I thought.

Suz, I saw the top, after the fact. I'm not sure why but the top was not displayed anywhere near the skirt or I would have tried it. I may consider it because that would be a very smart way to go.

I also tried this skirt, that I also loved, and immediately thought it would look fab on you.

I was tempted by this skirt when I was browsing, but figured no way it would work for me as I have a 12 inch difference between my waist and hip measurements. Your review gives me hope -- if it's still there by the time the sale opens for everyone I will give it a try!

Elizabeth P, I am horrible at color descriptions but I'll try. It is a lighter navy, greyed as you put it. I think the color photographed well and is very close to what is pictured on the website. Hope that helps.

That's a great find! I also saw it in the store but did not try it on. It felt like a good quality fabric and the design was very pretty. I kept on thinking about it plus the price is very good so I ordered online.
Do you think it runs one full size small? I ordered one size up, but I am in between sizes at the moment so I hope it fits.

Thanks, Colette. I love the tube skirt, too. I'm refraining from buying any because they're strictly summertime wear for me. In fall, they cling to tights, so I won't wear 'em. Alas. My favourite style of skirt by far. Guess I just have to make the most of them in summer!

I tried the burgundy version of the skirt on today and sadly it didn't work for me at all. It fell way below my knee and the waistband was uncomfortably high, hitting me way above my navel. (I'm 5'6" and long waisted) Personally, though I felt it was right true to to size. No need for me to size up.
