What Angie said. And what you said re the fit.
To elaborate -- with short hair and a long neck and a relatively small bust, a different style of jacket will work much better. This one would be ideally suited to someone with a short neck and a larger bust.
The colour is lovely on you, though. And a more formal jacket can work brilliantly with jeans if the fit and style are right for the person.
I have similar body type modifiers to you. I look for jackets with traditional lapels, shirt collars (like the denim jacket), or higher collars. I'm very fussy about torso fit, which is often off for me because my shoulder line is quite square whereas my bust is small --- and I'm also shorter than average, and a bit short-waisted. Some styles that have worked for me below -- they are different lengths, some short, some longer. As you see, I do have a collarless jacket, but the neckline is higher than on your version.
The taupe Elie Tahari jacket might on first glance look like a similar style to yours. But it's actually got a higher collar, which is a stand collar in the back. It fits the model badly but I was better able to fill it out. In other words, don't rule out this type of jacket forever, but if you are going for it, be really picky about structure in the right places.
