This looked better on the mannequin...

I spotted this top and jacket on a mannequin today and thought the whole outfit looked so nice, I ended up buying it!

I swear Kohl's has skinny mirrors! And the cropped pants were purchased with my young son in tow, so maybe that's my excuse. I figured I'd hem them to wherever they should be hemmed to make them PPL.

Anyhow, here's the outfit:

I don't like the effect of the white cami under the top, and I'm still thinking white pants aren't a good choice for little old pear shaped me. But, like I said, they looked great on the mannequin!

NK - I think it looks very stylish and flattering on you! It seems like a good way for "little old pear shaped " you to wear white on the bottom.

I do agree that the white cami peeking out is a little distracting, but you can figure out an alternative.

You can also wear a denim jacket over the top and pants, you can add a pop of color (red or yellow?) via shoes, necklace, or bag, you can add metallic accesories instead. . .

I think those are nicely versatile pieces that work together and can work in other outfits too!

I don't exactly know about the cropped PPL because they look good to me, but others can comment there.

Looks great! The proportions work very well IMO, and I am not sure the pants need hemming. Very pretty!

Oh goodness, I know the feeling of shopping with young children. I have two boys and it's almost impossible to make good decisions when I shop for clothes with them in tow!

However, I think you did great with yours! I think you look very pulled together from head to toe. Why do you think you need to hem the pants? They seem to hit above mid-calf, which is a good thing here, right?

Anyway, I vote you keep it all!

It looks very feminine and fresh and you look shapely and trim.

Skinny mirrors are the worst -- worse than dreadful dressing-room lighting -- but this does not look unflattering on you at all. I agree with Katie -- shapely and trim.

I like this outfit, too. I see "skinny" when I look at this picture.

It could be the pose more than the outfit, but if this were the only photo I've ever seen of you I'd wonder if were more hourglass shaped.

I considered hemming the crops because I ended up rolling them to get them to this length.

I actually bought the top part of the outfit child-free at Kohl's, but couldn't find any white cropped pants for the bottom there, so I headed to Ross. At Ross, I found a great pair, but didn't have time to stand in the long line before having to run to pick my son up from school, so I bribed him to hit another Ross on the way home and found these. I still wish I could find the first pair I found because they were denim, and nowhere near as sheer as these. But, these were $13, so I can't complain too much, right?

If I look houglass, it's only because I have on a really padded bra!

This is a great-looking outfit!!! I would wear a darker colored cami like navy blue, but otherwise... Perfection. The bright white cropped pants look so summery and cheerful, and I think they're quite flattering!
