LAR101 those are great points about bike jackets. He would wear it on his bicycle, but probably not for the kind of riding you’re thinking of. We live in Berlin, so bikes are everyday transportation. He takes his to basketball practice and occasionally to school. Vents would indeed help stop him from getting all sweaty inside.
Nemosmom, according to the description, both the grey side and the black side look like “normal” matte fabric, but one is especially waterproof and the other turns reflective in the dark when light is shone on it—but isn’t shiny the rest of the time. That’s one of the claims I really need to evaluate, because he prefers to fade into the background (reality check, I’ve never been able to do that, and he has many of my traits that make it impossible, plus he’s a 6’2” Black man. Reflective jacket or not, people notice him in a room. I just want him to be seen on the road. In the winter here, it gets dark by 4 pm.
Joy & Angie, sigh. Asking him might be best.
Anchie, this is one of many ways he doesn’t fit male stereotypes. I live most of the rest of them.
Suz, I should bring some of those suspenders home & make him pick!
ST, I hope you’re right & it looks “current” to him—as long as it’s not too current. Arg.
