All this talk about essentials and dressing for the life we have has me very motivated.
I have been diligently working for months on putting together a smallish wardrobe that is actual and not aspirational. I have a long post coming about my essentials and all the work that I have been doing on color. Which has brought me much joy !
Out shopping with my sister. The jeans are essential as are the black boots. I am also wearing a dusty rose thick cami that is a basic. The jeans are NYDJ and the boots are Clarks ( about 10 years old ). Today was the first day in 8 weeks that I have been able to wear shoes. YAY !!! These boots and a pair of Vans are the only things that I can wear. So I went to Payless and got the sneakers in pic 2 as a stopgap until the swelling gets better. These are a TOTAL statement. They scream, " Seriously ? Winter is here and you have two pairs of shoes and THIS is what you get to supplement ? " LOL ! YUP.
The fleece flyaway is Cuddle Duds. I bought it last year at Khols after Angie's post on the brand. It is an "add-on"/"expander". It is also very cozy...almost cuddly. LOL
The hat...ok, it is a beret...is from Traverse City Michigan ( 3 years old ). It is a statement. It is grey and black with grey polka dots so it is the same color palette as the wrap.
You cannot see my pin holding the wrap together at the neck but it is Tinkerbell in all her glory. She is a statement.
So here it is..me..dressing for the life that I have. : )
