I think it's buttoned OK... Looks like the placket (or whatever that bit is called) has only 4 buttonholes. If there are 6 buttons as advertised, perhaps it's so you can button how you want?
It's clearly designed to be worn this way and perhaps also a couple of other buttoning sequence options. Unfortunately this doesn't come off as art or edgy, which I think might be the goal, it just looks weird:(
The weird buttoning and asymmetry is why I like this coat! It reminds me very much of a wool coat I had (and love), that closes asymmetrically and has fake buttonholes scattered about.
