Wow just woke up! Sounds like most people prefer this one. I do think this one sang to me on, and the other two didn’t. Even though they were both much more expensive. I wasn’t intending to go cheap, your daughter doesn’t get married every day. I think fit and flare suits my shape better.
Thanks for comments on fit, I had not noticed the waist being low so can look at that. Much happier to spend money on alterations on a cheaper dress. The other thing is that with time I can see if any other dresses pop up but this way, if I have this one, I won’t panic.
Those who said this is not as formal and special, I do agree, but I’m also not sure how much formal is a good idea in heat and humidity. I can probably get photos not in the temple where I don’t wear a wrap. Thanks The Cat for thoughts of a silver wrap, that was my initial thought too and there is time to look, I just already owned the other two options and I love the geometric one. Was hunting down silver clutches online last night as well as sandals. Thanks again to everybody xx

I love this one too- I did see the others but did not comment as I was away and only managing the odd comment occasionally.

The colour and shape are stunning. Metallic sandals and you are set!! I agree some sort of wrap or bolero will be good - I like a couple of your options here too.

I love this dress on you, but to me it reads more 'wedding guest' than MOB elegance. It DOES do fabulous things for you with that color and silhouette, so wear it somewhere if you don't chose it for this occasion!

I think a dress signing to you is a good sign that it's the right one!

I also think your strategy of having it on hand while still keeping an eye out for other options is very sensible. And of course... the money that you save on the dress can be used for the most fabulous accessories

I am catching up on the forum today, and I absolutely love this dress on you. It is a fabulous color and will photograph well. Dress #2 is also lovely but this one seems more MOB to me. I don’t think you can go wrong, though, and keeping both is what I would probably do.

Definitely yes to this one. The rich color works for you, and silver sandals and wrap will go well. For me, this one says happy MOB while the other says formal MOB. Both are great, it’s more which emotion do you want to convey?

Thank you Gretchen that’s a great way of looking at it. We are not a particularly formal family and the bride and groom are not either, they are more adventurous than formal. Also somehow I feel younger and fresher in this dress. It is my favourite colour which makes me happy. I think I will be happier in this and therefore more able to watch out for others. We are at something of a disadvantage it not being our country or our culture so everything that adds to happiness will be a good thing

Glad you are keeping this dress. I agree that it is younger and fresher—and vibrant like you! My second choice is the second dress because the flowers are more vibrant than the first, not to mention that the fit is better.

Jenni! This cobalt color is stunning on you! I love how this dress accentuates your waist. This one gets my vote, although I really think #2 is a winner as well.
I say yes to a silver clutch, blingy jewelry and a silver sandal of some sort. I would do something with straps, instead of a thong. I know you can sort out great shoes very easily!
So beautiful!

Thanks Mainelady. I bought some silver sandals yesterday. Now I need a clutch

GO WITH WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY

Yes! This dress is amazing on you! You could style it any of those ways, depending on the weather and time of day. Have fun!

Yes to the dress! I prefer this one. Silver accessories are a slam dunk.

I like this one the best of the three, especially with the graphic scarf. That is a gorgeous mob outfit.
My disclosure is that I always prefer blue over black.

I also like your hairstyle. The volume on top is very nice.

I liked all three dresses on you but isn't it wonderful to have made a choice!!!

The colour is gorgeous on you and I think with a little nip and tuck to deal with the minor fit issues, it's a winner. I love the idea of a silver wrap with it and silver sandals plus a more formal bag -- it's fabulous! I also like Joy's idea of maybe taking two dresses with you because there are likely to be a number of events. What an exciting time! Congratulations and yay for finding what you love at a great price!

Really like this one with your scarf and silver or gold accessories! I liked dress #2 as well, if you still need a second option.

I just commented on Dress #2 but I really like this one as well. It looks great with the geometric scarf as a cover up for the tea ceremony. I think silver accessories are a great idea.

Holy wow, this colour on you!! I love it with the geometric shawl ... Smashing.

Gorgeous color on you! Thumbs up!
