I am sure you will make this look extremely fab, Angie. My only concern was for the sleeves but if they are comfortable - go for it.
I will be waiting for the outfit post

I hope you go for it since it passed the comfort test! And if you DO get bored of this matchy matchy combo, like you said, easy to break the separates up and get lots of wear. But I hope you try the challenging combo.

extra update at the end? am I looking in the wrong place?

Of course you're going to make this work, Angie. You love a good challenge - and on you it won't even be challenging.

I can't wait. I can't wait! I can't wait to see you in this outfit. A picture is worth two in the bush, or however that old adage goes, so Greg needs to polish the lenses.
Can you tell I 've had too much caffeine?
(I can't seem to be able to remove the accidental Find)

I think you could pull off matchy-matchy with these pieces very well. I think it would skew more new-retro than frumpy myself. Eager to see it

Can't wait to see the matchy matchy NON-frumpy outfit! I bet you look fabulous!

I love this look and it will be gorgeous on you!

And I agree with Una's "Main Line Philly Look" reference (I grew up near there and still lived in that area in the '80's)!

It reminded me of Michelle Obama's inauguration dress and coat, was that frumpy? Never! Feels like having a bit of a retro vibe but is always the most elegant and stylish combo I can imagine for those weather conditions and so- it would suit only a true lady! Can't wait to see:-).

I love the matchy-matchy look. I don't know how that became associated with frumpy. I am now sad.

Exciting news! I will definitely remain in suspense for this post. Could we have muffins and tea while we wait?

You are all funny and sweet! Thank you.

Lisap, I added my update down on page 2 of this thread, but also added it at the end of the title section so that you can see it there too.
