For me. A suit. At the mall and can't upload pics from my phone. Leaning toward gray since i don't own tons of navy but hungry and can't think...

ETA: so I had some food and realized I was not doing this the YLF way. I've bought both suits to try on at home. I have to say I am about to plotz because each suit costs more than any of my boots! Ugh.... I've never spent more money on anything, and I don't even *want* a suit!

I can keep looking at Marshall's, Ross, and TJ Maxx tomorrow, but so far these are the only ones that fit perfectly both on top and bottom. The gray would mix better with my bright shirts when being dressed down, but the navy seems to have won the initial popularity poll.

If I can't find anything cheaper, which do you prefer?

**Note, I have black shoes coming in the mail tomorrow.

I vote navy. Will contrast nicely with your colors, gray is more soft. Navy is also the men's color of the season which might play into your menswear vibe.

I still vote gray. Is this the same suit in both colors? (funny, my first suit I bought at the Rack, and was so stoked that it was only $60 or something totally crazy cheap.)

Yeah, I really like the navy on you. It's easily flattering to your coloring. It does need UWP-ifying, tho.

As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the gray has two back vents, and the blue has one vent in the center.

Hrmm... UWP-ification? I wonder if these are *too* conservative?

Don't get me wrong, I think navy looks great on you. I just struggle with making it non-conservative, and grey is so much more of a comfort zone for me in terms of being able to UWP-ify anything. I can think of a billion ways to dress down the grey, starting with the cropped Allsaints jacket and all of your boots. Or BF jeans on the bottom half.

I'm a gray person cuz my hair is graying, but I love the navy on you, esp. the buttons at the cuffs. Your citron blouse will look amazing with it.

Hmm, for color and general Rae-ness, I'd be inclined to say grey. However, looking at the photos, it seems like the navy fits better. Not sure if it's just the darker color or what. The grey seems just a bit too big and sloppy in the jacket.

I am quite conflicted Rae as I like both. I believe Navy is good interview color but I am quite drawn to the grey on you. It constrasts nicely with your hair. I think that YOU will get more wear from the grey.

Interesting comment about the gray looking big - both colors are the same size. I'll have to try them on again and see if the arms are maybe cut wider on that one.

I told Hubs how much the suits were, and he asked if I can't just wear it with the tags on... lol, isn't that supposed to be a girl thing??

rae, initially i thought navy. but between the two choice, i have a strong preference gor the gray on you. the navy suit has a very flat color.

From the pictures, and from what I know about your style, I prefer the gray on you. Navy is also very good, but you can't have them both, right? I think both Una and Mo have very good arguments for gray on you.

Another thing: Gray is easier to wear all year round, whereas navy might feel to dark in Summer.

It's hard for me to decide because I just love navy and that would be my first chioce but the grey looks lovely too!

I have to vote navy. Both fit nicely, but I prefer the navy for versatility (and can be used for funerals or weddings if needed). It works with all of your brights. Not sure where you purchased these, but I have the best luck with suits at department stores as they usually have racks on clearance or sale and extra coupons on top.

normally i would say navy, but i like the gray better on you.
i am also one of those people who dislike black shoes with navy, so, since you mentioned that you have black shoes coming, for me it's another reason to keep the gray.

I vote Navy. The fit is better.
