Expanding on Texstyle's comment... I'm not digging a lot of the fabrics used for separates (tops, skirts, shorts) that are currently in stores: polyesters that look and feel like bad 1970's polys. Cottons that are already snagged when you pick up the garment for a closer look. 'Linen' fabrics that look and feel crisp on the hanger, but you can tell are going to come out all mush even when you carefully follow the care instructions on the label. Textiles made out of words I can't pronounce, that look like they're going to develop pantyhose runs if I bump up against the furniture.
For actual trends, I really dislike the loose-fit, boyfriend stuff. I'm 5' and busty. I wear a size 2, but you'd never know it in photos. In photos, I look a lot heavier. Most of the loose fit stuff adds more 'visual pounds'. I got enough extra 'visual pounds' already, thank you. Give me a white tee with a fitted, high armhole, and a collar that lies flat, and a little snugness in the bust and waist, and I am a happy girl. Tell me where to find that tee currently in any store, and I will be thrilled.
