These Funktional Blouses are tricky

I am trying out the crossover Funktional blouses (on sale at Amazon, BTW). I like the voluminous shape but find it very tricky to deal with the shorter length in front - I am so used to wearing longer untucked tops, and now all the problem spots are exposed. Plus, the longer length in the back is throwing me off. What do you think?

ETA - the black in 2 and 3 is me trying it over a camisole. I don't think this version works, although I should also try a white camisole.

I love this type of blouse:) I prefer #1 on you. I think the black band is meant to be hidden? I particularly ike the cross over in #1 worn with the cobalt skirt.

Thanks, Joy and Deborah! The black band is a cami - I was trying to see if I can get more coverage but I don't think it works, at least not with black (maybe a camisole the same color as jeans would be better).

I wouldn't have known from the photos that you were having trouble. You look great! These look fantastic---I too prefer the plaid to the print, both with skirt and pants. I suspect it's just a matter of letting the eye adjust...but perhaps to ease the transition you can start with the tails tucked in? But I agree that a band at the bottom is distracting and upsetting proportions.

Just to clarify, my issue is that I am usually looking for tops that hide problem bits (such as a bit a pooch that can be seen with the cobalt skirt or the creases on jeans). With the shorter top, they are visible, and I am not sure if this makes this shape a no-go in terms of figure flattery.

I was also wondering whether the big bold check is too much of a pattern for me but it looks like it works pretty well.

Yes, these do look terrific on you - but you highlight a problem that I'd have with them - you want more coverage. I would too. All the more reason I really should be tackling making my own. Now to find the time.

I really like the first one, and don't see any problems. I think it looks better without the camisole. I'm not as crazy about the pattern of the second one.
The graphic check of the first one looks great on you!

I like #4 best as far as proportions go. Very stunning on you. #1 is also fab. No camisole.

(I LOVE that shirt and wear it often, so I'm waving at my twin).
