I posted this picture in my other thread (the outfit is off, I know). It reminded me that these boots were in my closet and not being worn. As you might be able to tell from the picture, tne of the tassels broke off (my fault) and I couldn't reattach it because I lost it, which is just as well since they constantly came untied and added a lot of bulk on the sides. So today I took them to a cobbler to see what they could do. They said they could remove all the tassels and sew the gap on the sides up. My question is would it be worth it? It's not that it's expensive but I am just wondering if I should just let them go. They are very comfy but without the tassels, I wonder if they're a bit boring. I'm also not a fan of suede. OTOH, I got them from Boden and they are good quality, and I really like the color (Boden called it "claret"...like a burgundy but a bit more purple). And of course I can't get another pair of boots to replace them, and if I could it would be really hard to find a similar color.
Also, are they considered casual or can I wear them to work with a dressier skirt? They look completely flat but they have a 5/8" heel that is covered in the same colored suede.
These are my boots:
