That is a beautiful print and I could imagine the print being quite flattering in a keeps-the-eye-moving way. On the model it looks very short in the torso and reviewers do say it runs small and the cups are small. If you've got a shorter torso and aren't busty, it looks like a really fun, pretty, and potentially flattering suit. But fit matters a lot in swimwear obviously.
Liz: It arrived today. I tried it on. I'm surprised how much I liked it. I've never owned a patterned suit before....but somehow I thought it was kind of flattering. Maybe because it is so busy you don't really notice the body underneath. Good point about that top staying up. Maybe I'll shop for another patterned suit with more coverage...
Lenni A -- "keeps-the-eye-moving" ?!! EXACTLY. Is that a known thing? How did I not know about that?? The suit and I are both short in the torso, so that works but the cups are probably too shallow or maybe low cut for me.
Busy swimsuits can be flattering. I have a very bright green one with heaps of flowers and find it more flattering than the black I normally would have chosen.
As others have said the top could be problematic
I can see why you were drawn to that pretty print! It sounds like it's time for you to consider swimsuit options besides blue and black, whether or not you keep this one.
That's so pretty!
I see it has detachable straps- I'd be using those to prevent downward slippage. But if the cups are too small, that might not be enough.
I was hoping it was a good fit for you! I am always much shorter in the torso than any model, though.
Definitely look at more patterned swimsuits!
Thank you, Helen. I think your comment has convinced me that the top doesn't have enough coverage for me. Even with the straps, I feel very exposed. I can pretend I'm the kind of person who is comfortable exposing a lot of skin, but really I'm not and I think I'd better honor that. But I will keep my eyes open for the next pretty patterned suit!
