The Yoox oriental print bomber arrived!

I was about to leave the house when the UPS man arrived, and I just had to open the package and do a quick try on. Just threw on a black top underneath.

It's definitely roomy in arms and body! Roomier than it appears in the photos. I'm relieved about that because I had no idea how this sizing would run. It is not a long jacket, though. The hem hits my hipbone. This doesn't bother me, but I think I tend to go a bit short with my jackets, so I would love for Angie to weigh in on this.

Included a pic of it zipped up even though I don't know if I'd wear it closed.

It's very lightweight, which is fine by me! I have enough heavier jackets and I want this for spring and warmer weather. I love the print!

What do you think? The Zara one is on the way too. That one is much longer, it will be interesting to see the difference.

Oh, it's great! I didn't know if I'd love it, but the colors are not as "thrift store bright" as they looked in the stock photos, and the fit is fantastic. That's my take on it anyway.

I'm glad you mentioned that about the colors, Una! I really like them too -- it's not a garish print. The tones are soft with just enough vibrancy against the black for my taste. Nice greens, pinks and coral in it. And flamingoes!

AJ, the summer dress idea is awesome! I have a coral-red dress and a black one I could see wearing this with.

I like this a lot more on you than the stock photo! My only concern is length. I am not an expert on this, so I hope others weight in.

Oh, I like it! Picturing it over tees and tanks, because I can't quite tell if these collars are fighting, but overall I love the print and I think the cropped length is doable. Love the idea of it over dresses, too!

May I see a full length shot with booties, please? It has great potential, but I am pondering the length.

It is SO much cuter than any bombers I'm seeing around these parts, but I've personally been steering myself away from jackets short enough that they look best only with dresses and skirts. I know you mentioned liking shorter jackets, but . . .

So, I'll wait to see how the Zara one compares before voting. . .

Angie, funny you ask. Not only do I have the Halogen seamed pencil skirt, but also that leather and ponte skirt from NAS, AND I just tried on a black lace pencil skirt at Anthro the other day that I really liked.

I am not normally a bomber jacket fan because they can be unflattering on an hourglass so I was expecting to not be a huge fan. I was wrong. It hits at the perfect place and is very flattering on you. I also love the print.

That print is stunning, a really modern and elegant floral in great colours. On a bomber jacket, gives it that touch of edginess, works so well with your style. Looks great on you!

I really like it, Janet, and think it would look best with a pencil skirt or dress. Colours are fab on you.

It *does* seem a bit short. So here is my thought on that, FWIW. I have had bombers in the past that ended up bugging me a lot if I wore them done up because the waist kept...I don't know how to explain...sort of crawling up even further, in motion and such. It isn't as much a problem if you wear it open, of course. I guess it is the elastic bottoms on them. Especially when my waist measurement was a lot smaller than hip measurement, the jacket's bottom would sort of inch upwards. I honestly don't know if that is because the jackets were actually too LONG for me, or too short! Or maybe it is just a potential issue with the style, period.

I feel like the big party pooper here - I'm worried about the proportions - the sleeves look really roomy given the seemingly cropped length. But the full-length pics should help resolve that issue.

Very nice. I saw the zara one in SF and it was simply stunning. It was quite a bit longer. I think the final decision will come to -- do you want this jacket for skirts/dresses or jeans.

Didn't think I'd like this from the thumbnail, but I LOVE it. You have the edginess to carry this off. The colors are just-so. A little on the short side for the outside layer in winter, IMO, but a great topper.

I don't know the Zara one, so can't compare...
