Last night was the dinner thing that I posted about earlier in the week.
I had a lucky shopping day and managed to find skinny white jeans and a lovely top in a slightly off white, milk colour. I wore them with my grey and cream oxfords and my touch of green was an acid green wrap. I also wore a green/grey corduroy coat later in the evening as the weather got cooler.
Sorry the pics below don't show the outfit well but you may get the idea. I will try recreate the outfit for you when I'm feeling up to it.... Which brings me to why I am feeling sorry for myself...
My oxford shoes have annoyingly slippery soles and I've learned that they're not ideal to wear when walking on wet surfaces etc - but I thought they would be fine yesterday as we were on grass. When we were heading back to the car last night, we were walking back on the road and I slipped on a speed hump painted with yellow road paint. My right leg flew out in front of me at an angle I'm sure it was never meant to bend and I hurt the inside of my knee. Perhaps it was the fact that I had had a few glasses of wine, but I didn't feel too bad last night - I assumed I would have a bit of bruising today. Well I woke up in the early hours of the morning in agony. I think that I've done some ligament or tendon damage. I have strapped my knee up and taken some anti-inflammatories and I'm kind of hoping for a miracle but I suspect I might need to see a doctor.
I'm really so annoyed by this injury just as I was really getting into my new fitness habits and I so don't want to lose the momentum!!!
