The Vince Leather Moto Again: K/R??

So, here is is again. The Vince Leather Moto. This time styled with some color instead of a white tee. (I did include 2 pics with the white tee for comparison). I'm still having some doubts, but I am going to keep them to myself and wait to see what feedback you give. I am wearing Joes Skinny coated Jeans, a Vince Sweater, a Poncho that I turned into a scarf, and the moto. I still have a headache, this one is sticking around, and may not resolve for a while. I am doing my best to function. I hate when this happens.

Does anyone think I can find a leather jacket the color of this purse below? Or maybe a little lighter, or in cornflower blue, but in a similar style and quality to this moto? (Rich buttery soft leather, easy to move in, fit is good in arm length and torso, lined with quilted material, stitches are straight and reinforced properly, zipper is sewn well, and hardware looks high quality, etc.)

Janet has a blue leather jacket, iirc. It is a color I see occasionally, for sure. I've got one on my Nordstrom wishlist right now but it's plus-sized, so that won't do you any good.

As for the white jacket, I'm honestly meh about it. I don't hate it on you but I don't think the color does you any favors, either.

I think the jacket is absolutely killer stunning zipped up. WOW. I like it less unzipped because the heavy collar flaps about, causing the jacket to lose its strong structutral appeal.

How is your new specs search going, Staysfit?

You'll probably find a cobalt blue leather jacket in Spring 2015. Hang on a bit for those collections to surface in stores.

Hmmm, Queen Jacket chiming in here. I missed your earlier post on this jacket, but I'm not sure about it either. This may be an effect of the lighting in the photos (which is challenging to compensate for, I know), but it seems the color is a bit yellowish for your coloring. I'd be curious to see a blush tone on you. I love the fit of it on you, especially zipped up. I don't love it open with the oversized collar. That seems to overwhelm you a little.

I do have a blue leather moto that I ADORE. It's from IRO, a couple of years ago -- it may be hard to find now, but a pic is below. It seems to me I've seen another blue moto since then -- I'll see if I saved it on Pinterest and let you know if I find it. The blue scarf looks beautiful on you, so I bet a blue jacket would look fab.

I believe Dashielle found a cornflower/periwinkle jacket at White House/Black Market? That color never found its way to the WH/BM stores in my area, but it may be worth a search online. I love that color, but it's been hard to find for years.

Angie, I agree, I think the lapels are too large, and flop open when unzipped. I need to look for one with smaller lapels, and I really want one in a better color. This was not exactly what I was hoping for. I really want some shade of blue, not a dull blue, but something like cobalt, or royal blue, etc. Oh, and I have an eye appointment coming up in two weeks. I will be looking for new glasses again then. I am certain that my prescription has changed. I will post pics once I have it.

Shiny, I thought about the same jacket in coastal, it is a bit darker than what I want. I think yours is a slightly different jacket. This jacket also comes in a color called marine, but it is also darker than what I want.

Janet, I like the blue jacket that you posted.That is definitely in line with what I am looking for.

I have too much doubt about this jacket. I am being influenced by the soft leather and the amazing fit of the sleeves. It's going to be returned and I will wait for the right jacket to come along. I should know that when I have doubts, I shouldn't do it.

If you can wait it out, I would. Vince comes out with new versions of the paper leather jacket every season, usually I think in the Spring?

Oh, I can wait. It's not leather jacket weather here anyway. I happened to see this online and thought it might work but it wasn't the color I anticipated.
