Thanks, Fabbers! I was tickled when I pulled them out of the box. Debbie, Shevia and rachy--you read my expression so well! They really are so close in color to my slate Fryes that have proven to go with everything and you’re right, Staysfit and Joy. Creams are really hard to evaluate in on line photos but I think it is closer in color to bone--with grey undertones. Did not have enough time to try them with outfits yet but am hoping to this weekend and will definitely post the results, Suz! They are supremely comfortable and light--just like my old Pikolinos. Khris, I think you will be pleased! FI - the buckle is the only thing that gives me pause. I don’t think it will be an issue but I’ll only know once I remember why I was on the search for a light, shorter boot.
@Lisa: Thank you! IKWYM about the cream sole--and I totally agree with you. I just can’t believe how much I actually liked the Lex on and in person--that coming from Ms. Practicality and you’re right--there really is no winter in Cali but I have a conference in Chicago later this year...
@Dana: Thank you. Agreeing that the water resistance is a plus. I can imagine the Lex would be perfect with your hair color!
@Smittie: I go back and forth on the shaft height. I do think the Lex might be better for midis.
@Angie: So nice of you to chime in. I appreciate you doing so when I know you’re so busy. Hugs!
Thank you, Susan, Beth, Sharan, Slimcat, misvee, Aquamarine, April, Kkards, Kathie, Janet, Marlene, Robin, Laura, Unfrumped, Vintage Dawn and Jonesy! I have a tough/fun decision to make!
