I've just joined this site after having stumbled across it 3 days ago and having read all the great information on here I know it's just what i've been looking for.
I've already sorted out my wardrobe and can now see where I have glaring gaps -and where I've been going wrong all these years!(I'm 59).
I thought the Mom To Go posts were extremely interesting and have made copies to pin in my wardrobe.
I've also just found the website for the Unbelievabra and wondered if anyone has tried one.

Welcome, Shirley. I haven't tried this product but, as an over-60, I see the appeal. It would probably work better than the shapewear out there that don't have an attached bra and smash in the one you are wearing (if you are small busted.)
My sister introduced me to the Kymaro Body Shaper and I love it. She got it from a TV infomercial but Wallmart and Walgreens, of all places, have them for less.

What I like is that you can wear your favorite bra without squishing, it doesn't ride up, the mesh is more comfortable and cooler than most shapewear, and it does an amazing job of straightening the shoulders and promoting good posture. I usually wear a size S or XS top and got a medium in this.

can't tell you what a relief it is to find this site-it's been 3 days of non-stop sorting, organising and alterations (mainly taking up hems) but I think i'm getting there so I should end up with less clothes but more to wear-if that makes sense.
My first purchase will be a denim jacket and if I can run to it a top.
I'm in England and we have many charity shops in my town,are these what you refer to when you say something has been thrifted?

Yes i tried one of those all in ones with a built in bra but I ended up with 2 fried eggs! not the best look. I will look into your suggestion and see what I can find.

Thanks everyone for the great welcome-i'm really fired up about this site.

I'm off shopping today to have a look for a denim jacket and maybe a top-I need one in a pale yellow to go with a couple of orphaned skirts I have just shortened.

I'll post later to let you know how I got on.

Hi Shirley.

Yes, I discovered the Unbelievabra last year and immediately ordered it. I can only say that this garment is the most comfortable and supportive piece of shapewear that I have ever worn. I am a senior and am large busted. I could never find a "good" bra that really flattered my figure..........until, that is, the Unbelievabra find. I really love the way it smooths out my back and has no bra lines showing. I like to wear tight tees and never liked looking at the bra fat that "regular" bras create. Anyway, I have purchased one of every style on the shapeez.com website and I am pleased as I can be with their products.
