As an observer, I love boiler suits! But I have a short waist so fitting them is a challenge. For my relatively small and simplified wardrobe, it could also be high amount of effort and money for something that might not get worn that much. This outfit from a local store caught my eye, then I realized it was actually two pieces. It still has a defined waist (although it does look a bit high), but got me thinking about the possibility of a two-piece boiler suit, which might be easier to fit and more practical both re: the loo, and increased wearability as separates.

The other boiler suit alternative that caught my eye was a twill shirt dress. Not the same thing obviously! But I realized it might tick some of the same boxes for me. But making this tangential connection might be a reach for others I like shirt dresses anyway, and this type with no defined waist can work well for me since I can belt at my natural waist.

If you've seen any "two piece" or other boiler suit alternatives, please share!
