I’m waiting for the Hobbs Saskia trench. The Kate Spade trench you suggested has arrived. I will do a comparison post so people can see what they look like and pick the best.

I wear mine quite often in late autumn (ie now). It's quite close fitting so not appropriate to wear over heavy layers. Here's a picture from this morning - a bit hard to see because the trench is navy and I'm wearing black.

RobinF, I can understand the desire to go without an umbrella. Maybe a hooded trench is the right one for you.

Stays fit, looking forward to your trench reveal.

Anne, your navy trench is so good on you and perfect for our chilly mornings.

Bijou, KILLER trench. I especially love the way you styled it in #1.

I wore my Brooks Brothers trench (a lemming purchase a couple of years back) over the weekend - no pics though.

On a more stylish trench note, I wish I DID have a pic of a trench outfit I saw the other day. I only saw it from the back but she was also wearing blue cropped windowpane check slacks, chunky black patent tie brogues and ORANGE ankle socks. It was amazing.

Angie, my trench is still going strong after so many years and adventures. I love it when I make wise purchases like that.

Pil, what a cool outfit. Thanks for the description.

Bijou, it's awfully satisfying, isn't it.

Angie, yes! I love how you have experienced the same thing with your trench.

HIGH FIVE. The gift that keeps on giving.

It's too cold here for my trench, at least in the morning when I leave the house. Only 45F this morning here in NYC, high of 51 today. Things should look up later this week and maybe i"ll be able to post then.

Bijou, thank you so much for staring this challenge. I am honored that you had me in mind. I have really been enjoying seeing all the Fabbers and their trenches. I have lots of great inspiration on how to style my own trench. It is encouraging to see that many Fabbers have a few trenches.......I may join the ranks of having more than one. Sooo many fabulous coasts! Living in Maine, I do have a good reason to purchase outer wear.....

Mainlady - so glad you are enjoying the challenge. I am surprised at how many wonderful and versatile trench looks we are seeing too.
