I completely agree that the internet & computer are a lifeline during these times. I'm now in month 5+ of isolation (Hong Kong was hit with the protests before the virus, causing me to have to start working from home since Oct/ Nov) - I was originally planning to come back home to the UK to do my masters (in person) but I'm now very glad that I picked the online option instead!

Our centre has organised virtual Zoom parties to keep up morale, & I've even heard of people live streaming their weddings instead - an adaptable race, indeed!

Wow, Zaeobi, five+ months. You made the right decision. Life in the Uk is surreal at the moment and I guess that applies to the World.

I must find out more about Zoom to see if I can fathom out how it works.

To ALL, keep safe, Keep well.

Hang hang in there, Eirlys. Keep posting.

Haha yes, I remember warning my parents to take protective steps when the virus hit Hong Kong & their response was to urge me to come back home instead - my partner was trying to convince me of the same, too. But now I'm hoping they'll focus on adaptability advice like yours, instead. Fingers crossed!

Zoom is fairly similar to Skype - I just prefer to use it instead because my job supplies me with it for my online teaching. Some nice features it has though are the virtual background & the ability to share your screen - useful for hiding a messy room & watching a film online with someone, respectively!
