I purchased two moto jackets From Lucky Brand for an excellent price. they are both lambskin and buttery soft. I ordered the black one because I have been looking for a black moto forever and I ordered the burgundy one on a lark. It was love at first sight with the burgundy moto, the black...well, it's a black moto. I can keep them both, but do I need two coats in the same silhouette? I also realized, I do not have a single black coat (except a couple of blazers).

What say you? Keep just the burgundy or keep both? Help a gal out here...I need some honest opinions!

I am in love with the burgundy, I agree--it is absolutely a keeper. As for the black one, would you use it enough to warrant keeping it? That would be the test I would use to determine whether to keep it. For me, I probably wouldn't since the burgundy is a pseudo-neutral in my book, and would go with almost anything that the black one would. YMMV, that's a very subjective thing set of criteria.

I would not purchase two of the same jackets in different colors unless it was like a fleece or something I would wear all the time and need to switch it up every now and then. I'm thinking keep the burgundy, and if you want a black moto, you will find another one that is slightly different.

I will keep one as don't want to wear two the same style, always I will like one more than other and not to wear with the same pleasure both.
I prefer burgundy.Your eyes say also burgundy.

The burgundy is a great, lovely color for you.

The black one is harsh, with your coloring. In my opinion.

I like the burgundy. I also think the black is a little harsh with your coloring. Would you consider navy or charcoal in a second jacket? That is if you want a second one.

The burgundy one is so gorgeous on you... a real keeper. A black moto is certainly a classic, but I agree with Mochi that the shade is a bit harsh with your lovely fair hair and complexion. I like shedev's suggestion of choosing a second moto in a softer dark neutral (like charcoal or navy) -- that could be your alternative to classic black.

Ok, the burgundy is really nice!
I like both though. Black is really useful if you have other black leather in your repertoire.
I would not get both though, as you will likely have a favourite and the less favourite one might not get as much wear as you'd like.

I see that you have already decided. And I agree. Keep the burgundy. I wouldn't keep two of the same jackets. If you still want a black jacket, find something else. There are many black items out there.

I agree that the burgundy is gorgeous on you, and I also agree that you answered your own question when you said it was "love at first sight." However, I do strongly disagree with previous posters who said that black is harsh on you. I think it is quite flattering with your coloring, and especially with the white sweater and the black glasses. Black IS harsh on a lot of people, but I don't think it is on you, so I love both.

Keep the burgundy and then see if there is ever an occasion when you wished it were black. You can always add the black later if you find you are missing it.

Keep the burgundy. You will wish you'd gotten it and another will be much harder to find than black. If you love it you will find lots of ways to wear it. Maybe try making outfits with both from your closet.

Keep them both! Burgundy is a beauty, but I can understand wishing for a black coat, too (esp. if you do not have one at the moment). There are occasions, moods and outfits which require the black one instead of the burgundy, isn't it!
