::blush:: Might be the pair of maternity sleep bras I bought on sale because they *seemed* to be my size (didn't try on) --- which I couldn't grapple myself into even in month 1.

I don't know if they were bad purchases but some of the things i bought early on in my new job, i don't really wear much. I should have waited longer to see what I really needed and would be right for work. None of it was big $$ outlay and I think I will consign a few items now -- a cashmere sweater with monet-ish design that just isn't my style, a couple of skirts that I just won't wear (too dressy) and some wrap style tops that are too fussy for my bustline.

Gold oxfords. So comfy but they are just not me..

I didn't buy for this season but last winter I bought a wool sleeveless vest - which itches no matter what I wear under it. No. More. Wool.

One black and white vertical stripped blazer that when I wear makes me look like a zebra, if not that a clown. I hate that model who wore that and lured me into buying it.

Fun!

By far, my worst mistake this year was this skirt. Maxi (I'm short) and transparent with a ridiculous mini opaque slip... full price!!! What was I thinking?

I tried to have the slip changed: impossible. Then to have it shorten: would cost about double its original price.

Then, not long after, this sweater: shape is blah and colour is not good for me.

Then there were Beautifeel kitten heel patent sandals (on sale, still expensive):

Straps dig perfidiously into my feet! They only feel as beautiful as their name promises when sitting down.

Funny how we want to forget these things...

Krishnidoux, I never would have suspected those pretty, low-heeled shoes would cause such problems.

I didn't think I could squeeze in a second stupid purchase right under the wire, but now I have to include the too-tight Cole Haan boots I would look at every couple of days, thinking, "I'd better ship them back," and then of course the 30 days passed and they're now mine to figure out how to deal with. Gah, procrastinator me!

My expensive full price Dansko sandals that got great reviews for comfort and style. The style and color are fine and the left side feels great. But my right foot is the fussier one, and I think the angle is too steep and the forefoot a bit too narrow for me. I bought and returned something like three pairs to find the loosest ones. And I've already tried stretching them, adding inserts to lessen the angle, etc. I will continue to try to stretch this baby because I'm stubborn. . .

I wanted a cool shearling jacket and bought the one pictured below at a super discount. When it arrived, I was surprised at how atrociously fake it looked in person. I love a good faux shearling, but the fuzzy part was REALLY shiny. When I put it on, tons of the fuzz fell out...all over me and my bedroom floor. I'm still vacuuming it up. The pocket linings were unfinished and the seams were coming apart. To make matters worse, the jacket had the temerity to look good on me, when I squinted my eyes and ignored the quality issues.

I stupidly had not checked the product information closely enough to notice that the company from which I bought it was located in China. To return it, I would have to pay half the price of the coat. The declared value of the item is only $5. hahahahaha!

My husband thinks I should just wear it and toss it when it falls to pieces. I think I will.

A black and grey floral moto jacket - 2 sizes smaller than I need.... bought in the 2hour dash out from a conference out of town. Always amazes me that I can even get them on in the store... have done this with shoes before today as well... ?!?!?
