I am not by any means a Burberry or other name-brand groupie, but this scarf turned up in my search for scarves and sales and I fell for the color combo. I am a sucker for raspberry-orange or burgundy-pumpkin combinations as I feel they "unsweeten" the berries and also just add that jolt of other color.

I decided to try it and then determine at home whether the feel and size and colors looked as though I'd wear it a lot or it'd sit on the bench.

Though it continues to appear online and lets you order it as backordered, Nordie's later sends a, sorry, not available. I even ordered it more than once because I thought the orderability meant it had come back into stock!

Perhaps this is the fashion fates saving me from an unwise impulse buy?
I tried to find it online elsewhere but it does not show up. I think that also can be the "I'm determined to get this now" gene that acts up if one is thwarted in pursuit!

I also finally realized how many color combos Burberry puts out and that I "might should", as we say, target a much more mainstream, fall-winter wardrobe-color combo (not the original Burberry check, but burgundy/gray/black etc). However, this one is the one that spoke happy-happy!

Maybe you also had "the one that got away" and are going, maybe it's for the best, and "next".

ETA: It's back in stock but the reviews indicate it's very delicate and gets snags easily. I suppose I could check for myself, as certainly I've had different reactions than reviewers, but that is not what I want to hear. I like lightweight wools like the Nordstrom wool challis but this sounds too ephemeral. The worse thing would be thinking it's okay and then, bam, mucho dollars shot. So, next!
