This was fab and fun in true YLF spirit! Vicki, who was wearing some super cool new skinnies from Zara (wow can she pull off the print trend) had everything well planned and organized. Thank you MaryK for bringing the clothing racks and Mr. Generous dry cleaner for the extra hangers. Yes you do deserve Vicki's business now and you would get mine too if I were so lucky to live nearby.
After struggling in the sweltering heat of Central California for the past week (104 F anyone?), it was perfectly cool at Vicki's, with enough of a marine breeze for me to justify wearing my new Zara sequin blazer. (No this post is not sponsored by Zara.)
Rae was wearing a crisp and modern asymmetric hem white blouse with light wash denim shorts. From behind, we had trouble telling her apart from Natalie (both of them having stunning long black hair). Natalie was wearing white jeans and an orange Tory Burch blouse and carried a killer matching bag. No wonder she likes Kate Spade because she has that ladylike Upper East Side look to her.
I actually don't remember what MaryK was wearing because she tried on so many different things. I seem to remember a nude bra and some yellow skinnies though. The fun of the swap was almost usurped by seeing her tap routine on her iPad.
It was great to see Marley who was in fine spirits and rocks a pair of shorts like no one else. Well except maybe Rae. Marley I am so glad my now too tight Karen Kane dress found a new home!
I had never met Eva before -- she is a border collie owner like me! We had fun talking dogs. Eva is a stunning brunette who looked good in everything she tried on, and prepared a delicious brocolli ramen salad.
Jennifer is an artist and neighbor of Vicki's; I enjoyed getting to know her and look forward to her joining YLF. She scored a beautiful Marilyn type halter dress which shows off her awesome body art.
I was sooooo sad Claire could not be there, but how cool was it that she sent a package! I collected a few items that I suspect come from Claire -- yes I got the French retro print silk blouse, I am ecstatic! Thank you!
