I got my red coat, but yet I am not a happy camper.

I'm actually still really mad >:(

When I went to pay, I asked if my 15% from opening the account would still transfer, but the SA said more than two days had passed so no. I told her I did use it within two days, and I was simply asking to have it transferred to the item I had exchanged. But she insisted it can't be done.

I reluctantly accepted and decided I'd just call the customer service center later and explain and see what they say.

But that's not what made me furious.

What made me furious is that another SA who was standing next to me was listening and she started to say, to the other SA, "maybe we could..."

...then she looked at me, and decided to go behind the register, to where the SA who was checking me out was standing, and continued her sentence in a whisper: "maybe we could [unintelligible]...so that way she would still get the discount."

The other SA asked, "but then wouldn't I have to void the transaction?" to which the first SA replied "yes." Then she said "well, she got some money off anyway so it's not a big deal."

So basically she screwed me out of saving more money because she didn't want to be bothered voiding the transaction.

I needed to get to work so I couldn't be bothered fighting it, but I decided to call the manager in the department--who of course does not answer the phone.

So I'm happy I got the coat, but annoyed that even though the coat was cheaper, somehow I'm paying more. I'm going to call Macy's customer care line and see if they can give it to me, but I'm still really mad.
