...everything is just stunning! Online does not do it justice. I just went and tried on a bunch of things, but only bought one (I'm trying to be good).
The tomato red Angie spoke of is gorgeous, the JEWELRY - oh my, the sailor inspired detailing on trousers, skirts, and jackets is so fun and fresh, and the leopard print? I bit.

It wouldn't surprise me if that finds its way into my closet also (I know, I know).
So I hope to get something in that red color, and maybe the black skinny pants.
I don't know if it's just because I'm in a good mood or what, but the quality of the items even seems to be better...
The only disappointment was the trousers, but I'm not in a huge hurry to stock up on those.

I am SOOOOOO JEALOUS!
There are rumours that a lot of American retail giants will be stepping up their Canadian expansion plans, and personally I hope Ann Taylor is on the bandwagon!

Naturally Angie has pointed us in the right direction again ... I will have to get into a store because the website makes everything look so neutral and soul-sucking-beigey at the moment. I was there on Monday and so agree with you and Angie. That leopard print top was also one of my favorites. I bought another blouse and they had a B1G1 50% off, but they didn't have my size in the leopard print one to try on. The black and white lace top was also wonderful.

Awesome! It's so funny: I *almost* bought that blouse online today! Still might get it over the weekend, though I already have another animal-print long-sleeved silk blouse. Can't wait to see it on both of you, Sarah and Debbie!

I went to check out that leopard blouse yesterday and bought it. I've been looking for what I call "out-to-dinner" tops--nice tops I can wear to take clients out to restaurants or attend business related affairs. This blouse will be perfect. It caught my eye when I was shopping online, and then Angie endorsed it too.

I just stopped bu Ann Taylor today and I was amazed, so many nice things. The quality seems pretty good and the selection. I broke my SYC considerably but there were too many fab things to snatch up! Thanks for the tip to check them out. The same pieces in the store look 100% better than they did online.

I haven't walked into an AT store since I had a corporate job 10 years ago, but since there's been chatter about AT here I decided to check it out. My overall impression of the AT store was that its apparel is too dressy for my casual lifestyle and casual work look.

However I did see a shaggy/shredded animal print silk or silk-like skirt that I loved. It felt Chanel to me. If I had the lifestyle, I would wear it.

Good to know, Taylor! So I have a question about the dress pants at AT. A lot of pants stretch out for me, so I was wondering what ones you recommend at AT that are long lasting.
I would love some wide leg dress trousers. I tried on a few in camel (the curvy wide leg and the modern wide leg) and both were too high rise for me.
I hope to head back there within a week. I'll have to put blinders on my eyes. Ack!

Some new dresses are on my list. If the snow plow ever gets by our house I'll be eager to get to AT (or anywhere!) Yesterday the malls were closed for the storm and might be today too.

After seeing the things at Ann Taylor lately, I almost wish I still had the lifestyle to wear most of those clothes. When I worked, " You look very Ann Taylor today" was a compliment a group of us used.

Well, I made it to my closest AT a day or so ago hoping to check out the tomato red things.

All I found was one (yes, a singleton) tomato red scarf, a glass cylinder with some red/black leopard scarves, and tomato red v-neck cardis. There were some tomato red jewel-neck cardis in the clearance section. . .but that was it. . .

Did others see more? Is my AT slow to put out a new colorway? I did find most of the Ikat leopard items - ruched dress, pencil skirt, and shirt.

I am with Lynne on this - it ALMOST make me pine for my corporate job !!!

I also love what ATL, Talbots and the Gap are doing. This is all very much my aesthetic.
