Aside from boots, the skirt and the silk shell I got 3 more items at NAS and I need your opinion on them
#1-3 - KUT of the Kloth skinnies.
On SA suggestion I went with a bigger size - she said it fits my thighs better. I would definitely wear them around the house for a couple of hours to see if they stretch. Last year I bought KUT straight jeans in black in smaller size - and they did not stretch at all (fabric was thicker though). What do you think on overall fit and length - good fit? too short? I plan to wear them with shoes and booties - I use leans with tall boots only - so I need the correct length.
#4-7 - Rivey&Blues bootcuts (or are they flares - they measure 22" at the hem).
These ones are too short with the booties I wear in the pictures - 2" heel. This is really bugs me. They measure 34 1/2" at the inseams - exactly the same as my wide leg pants. However my wide leg pants are correct length for 2 3/4" heels and these are too short for 2" heels - how come? Is it because they are tighter in the legs and therefore come shorter? I tried them with my 1 1/2" shoes and one hem was 1/2" off the floor and another one was 3/4" off the floor. Does it mean my legs are of different length or one of my thighs is bigger than the other and pulls the jeans a bit higher?
No wonder I do not own any bootcut jeans now - hard to find the right length!
Anyway, they have about 1 - 1 1/2" to let out in the hem which I can consider if you tell me that the fit is right.
#8-11 Charles Gray London Short Wool Blend Coat
This was an impulse purchase! I was looking for a knee-length coat and they did not have any. I spotted this cape-coat and liked the color. Also I wanted to try the shape on - just for fun: I was sure I would not like it. I was wrong! Even my mom liked this coat on me. So...I succumbed to the temptation. To my excuse I can say that it is a coat, not a cape - with sleeves so it should be comfortable to wear in my cold Canadian fall / spring and maybe even early/late winter. It is pretty expensive - $200 on sale - but fabric is very lovely - wool/cashmere blend.
So what is your verdict - do I kid myself and it looks ridiculous on me or should I keep it? Also as it is not cheap I would like to wear it for at least 3-4 seasons - do you think this shape will date quickly? Should I better spend money on that Hinge leather jacket Angie recommended Kyle to buy?
Thanks for your help!
