HI Fabbers,

I have been so excited and waiting patiently (for the weather to co-operate) to show you a dress I bought recently. So Im wearing it for the first time today and I am in love with it. Got up early so I could take some pics for you, only to find when I got to work and went to post that they are all blurry. The focus looked good to me when I was taking the pics!

I'd love to blame my camera but real the real message here is.. "Deb's you need to wear your glasses" lol.

I have had glasses for reading now for about 4 years and still haven't got used to them. I do wear them when I am working but I am very slack at home and loathe to admit I need them.

I will have to retake my pics tonight.

But in the meantime, this is the dress in red... mine is (suprise) black. It's a gorgeous design and is by Laura Ashley. 'Til tonight.

#1 is the back of the dress and #2 is the front.

That doesn't look like the Laura Ashley I remember! I bet it drapes fabulously! Can't wait to see it on.

Carter, Laura Ashley appear to have had a huge 'make over'. Not so much liberty prints and some very contemporary and even edgy stylings are now part of their ranges. It has been a very pleasant suprise and this is one of two dresses I have purchased from them this year.

Yeah that is not the Laura Ashley I remember. Also right there with you with the glasses. I'm way overdue for my next eye exam. I'm deathly afraid I'll need to upgrade to bifocals.

Chuckling about the glasses. Welcome to the club, Debs! I can't believe this is Laura Ashley. Can't wait to see it on!

Anna I do wear bifocals but my script is not very strong. My main problem is things upclose, reading, and focussing the camera lol. I can't read the instructions on my shampoo bottle unless someone is holding a a meter away, or of course is i put my glasses on! My main challenge is that I don't think I am 100% satisfied with my frames (I have four pairs) and that stops me wearing them when I should. I will have my eyes tested in the new year and order new frames and I think this time I really need the assistance of YLF.

Ha ha Caro. Im thinking of Mr Fantastic from The Fanstastic Four and his amazing ability to stretch his limbs... that's what we need.

Shannon it is Laura Ashley:) I have another, a silk dress that is oversized and drapey from LA that is fabulous... and again so not what I think of when I think Laura Ashley.

BTW, my sister calles this the Nappy Dress due to the drape and gather at the back of the dress lol.

Ok some digging around. Laura Ashley USA is very different than Laura Ashley Australia.
I did find this interesting thing, that they attempted to make scrubs.

For a minute I was ready to faint: Deb in red dress!..but then read it is black.

Oh I want to see it on. I have reading glasses scattered all over the house. After a lifetime with regular glasses I had my eyes lasered when I needed bifocals and am now happy to be just a part time glasses wearer. Embrace it!
