The pretty wallet I bought

I'm the type of person who carries a wristlet wallet around with me EVERYWHERE, most of the time without a purse. The problem is that my latest workhorse has died, really. The edges have frayed; there are holes in the bottom, and it was looking decidedly unpolished.

And so, I decided that it was time to actually get something that might last longer than a month or two before it has holes in it, but that would fit everything.

Here is my pretty new Kate Spade wallet. It it was on sale PLUS another 25% off; it holds everything I want it to, and it's quite gorgeous in person.

Looks great! I haven't tried a wristlet before, do you find you can use your hands when carrying one? Like could you shop with one, or would it basically need to be in a shopping basket or cart?

It depends, honestly.

I work at a lab in a university, so I have a lab coat with big pockets, where I put the wristlet during the day. I keep my ID card to get in all the doors inside it, so all I have to do is smoosh the wallet up against the keycard pad, and it means I never forget the ID card or the wristlet.

I think the key with these things is a fully zippered top, so that nothing ever falls out.

You can use your hands to manipulate things pretty easily. Like browsing at a store, no problem. Carrying something bulky in front of you with the wristlet hanging down is also no problem. Handling something like multiple grocery bags that you put on your wrist/arm also that bump up against it is more of a problem, and I usually just end up tucking it in one of the bags.

But I also don't like full size purses. My "purses" tend to be big enough for laptops, so that if I need to do computer work somewhere other than at home, I can.

It was a thoughtful question, rabbit!

I also find them to be exceptionally useful at things like weddings or parties, where gosh, you wish you could have your purse in your hands, but you don't want to carry it!
