The pitfalls of spare time!

Being home and confined is dangerous! I've had free time to browse and search every site and sale imaginable. I now have orders on the way from The Rack, Nordstrom, Last Call and Banana! I imagine most of it will end up going back - but still a little scary.

Meanwhile I am finally seeing some visual improvement - my midsection has been swollen and apparently will be for some time due to all the internal rearranging, but this morning I woke up visibly thinner! So excited!

Will try to post some Finds which I can't do on my phone.

This is why health care is so expensive!

When I had my wisdom teeth out, pre internet days, I was drugged and half watching Joan Rivers on QVC. My husband would come in and ask if I had bought anything.

High five on the "browsing". When I had my 2 protracted surgical recoveries, quite a bit found its way to my door. Combo of too much time and feeling a few treats were in order. Eventually, I started avoiding shopping sites...

Relax ... shopping is physical therapy It's a good way to take care of yourself and channel all your new, unworried energy.

You sound terrific and I'm so glad you're healing fast.

SandyG spoke for me. Shopping is relaxing and you are not a crazy person. If what you bought doesn't work for you, you will return it. All you lost is a little time.

I was thrilled to discover my neighbor is a serial returner. It was like we shared a dirty little secret that no one else knew. It was quite cathartic.

Ha, Ha, ha this post is bringing back my own memories. I am glad you are on the road to recovery. On the flip side well shopping on the internet.

I threw my back out a couple of years ago and I was at home laid up watching Roger Teeter with the inversion Table. I bought that, A sleep number bed and a host of other things to help my back. It can get expensive but those things are well worth the price. Pluse on QVC they have the easy pay or flex pay.

I hear you! My plan for these times is to be super picky when the items arrive and keep only what is absolutely amazing. That usually allows me to return the lion's share of what I bought.

Oh yes, I can't afford to retire full-time. Without my part-time job, I have enough to live on, but not enough money to support my idle pursuits.

And Una, I feel your pain...literally. I did the same thing while recovering from the dental stuff!

But, as Shevia said, returns are free...plus, I can't wait to see your new loot and your slimmer mid section! What a relief for you!

I'd be pretty dangerous doing much internet shopping, I'm not as good as I should be about returns. My husband likes to watch shopping shows (he's in marketing and likes to critique them) and every time I watch with him I want whatever they are selling. Rarely is it something I actually need! Needless to say, he mostly watches after I've gone to bed.

A PONY! Can I get one on the Internet?

Lots of boxes in the next two days. Also follow-up doctor appointment today (so I can get clearance for post office runs!)... Two weeks in and I am feeling a desperate urge to clean the house. See, shopping is distracting me from an injury!
