People, I was hoping calmer heads would prevail! Is it truly worth it? I do love it, but the price is kind of staggering, even with free money. I wish I could feel the fabric, but it's not in my store. Anyone want to go feel up a panther dress for me?

I am appalled that for $258 they couldn't be bothered to match the pattern across the pockets. Hold out for better quality! Sometimes the high price is just for the name.

Her name is Twilight and she rules over my son's room. Whenever he gets a new toy he introduces it to Twilight so she knows it is part of the family. Let me tell you, that thing has seriously startled me when it's lying around somewhere unexpected!

Wow. Not to derail this thread, but my daughter would LOVE to visit both of you, Una and Rae. She has a lifesize snow leopard and a tiger in her room, plus lots of smaller kitties.

Una, you would wear a panther dress in your WIWs. What more do you need? We're the real audience!

Una, tell your son that years ago, when I went camping in the Amazon, rainforest, a black panther came to our small campsite late at late. It scared the heck out of me and I went to hide in the tent. At which point the guide said, " The tent is just a candy wrapper to him. " Beautiful creatures !

Una - I have to suggest you spend your $$$$ elsewhere

I fell for the elephant blouse in this 'series', so I stalked it to Macys. I was SO disappointed in it -- a *blouse* with *wool* should be done so that it's not scratchy!

I noticed this dress, as cute as it is (because it IS adorable!), is unlined cotton! For $258, they should line it or use a different fabric IMHO, of course!

You could always put the $$$$ into your CA trip shopping. . .

It depends what makes you happy. I think it's appropriate to splurge, and if this dress lights your fire, then buy, wear, and enjoy your fab-ness.

AG, If it was me (and for me), and I had some free money fall in my lap that I had to spend on a luxury purchase, I am wanting an Alexander McQueen skull scarf.

Sadly, the one I lusted after and stalked (hoping it would suddenly be available for under $100 bucks) was $695 and is now sold out. Maybe many women in Alaska all just ordered it.

Sigh.

Oh, my SIL has a white tiger in almost life size and it is a favourite of my daughter. We have a smaller version at our house.
