As you all know, I had kind of a stressful week and limited myself to one piece of retail therapy. Now I have and adore, the Angie recommended. PG Bobbi Moto booties from a previous NAS. But the Balboa has a 2.5" heel and Angie very graciously measured the platform on this bootie as 1/2". I have a morton's neuroma and am pain free as long as I wear my 3/4 orthotics and I can't tolerate much of a heel. So although these booties are so in my wheelhouse, I was not sure I'd be able to tolerate the heel height. So with that said, now for my review. You will have to pry these babies off my cold dead body and honestly, I might sit back up and fight you for them! First, they are beautiful like all PG boots. The leather is a very refined pebble (black ofc) with a slight sheen. The toe is very elegant almond, slimming on the foot and the sole extends beyond a good 3 mm, which is interesting but not out there iykwim. The lug sole is refined, grippy but incredibly light. But the big thing about these booties is that they distribute the weight to the heel. There is not only no pitch forward but they make you stand up straight/perfect posture. TTS, remember I'm a 7M and I'm fitting in a 3/4 orthotic. Toe narrows but is not narrow, fitted across the arch to hold you in place, but not tight. The shaft is high, maybe 3" above the ankle bone, so most striking with a cropped pant or skirt. You can wear these with skirts and dresses for sure, the perfect "wrong shoe" thanks Alllison!! I've always done it but I never understood the 'why" Buckles are elegant. I just can't say enought good about these booties. I actually am off hard soles, less grippy and I'm on my feet all day so the comfort sole, plus a real heel that doesn't feel like a heel at all (a real 2" that totally comfy). If you can use a bootie like this absolutely highly recommended. Love!! And big thanks to Nordies, arrival listed 7/19 saturday - you knew I needed a lift!! (ok you know I'm happy if I'm making bad puns!!
