So since this started with a pair of shearling boots. I found these at Barneys:

The shoe part is black metallic leather. Overall the shoe is more black than the picture. Also the shoe bed is shearling as well as the shaft. The All Saints boots only had shearling in the shaft.

So I'm not sure how I now stand on SYC.
