Well the jeans arrived and I am keeping both pairs. I have a black pair, slim bootleg, and a blue pair, also slim bootleg.
I didn't really hold out much hope that I would like these jeans as they were half the price of the other pair I returned. It just goes to show that an expensive item of clothing isn't always the best. If you are from the UK and I confess that these jeans came from the Matalan store you will know what I mean!
As advised I have washed both pairs before wearing as sometimes a dye can come off on light furniture. Couldn't wait to try them on afterwards as I feared they might have shrunk. They hadn't! So I'm a size UK 10/US 6 in that particular range.
I tried on the black pair with my Breton top and, as my husband pointed out, looked like the French onion sellers that used to visit the UK! Have to admit he was right and that I prefer myself in a top with a collar: a lesson learnt, methinks.
Anyway here are my black jeans, washed, not ironed, but very comfortable and they fit well. I hope you agree!!
