Well my jeans arrived this morning and here they are.
My judgement:
PROS: Nice fabric, firm with a hint of stretch. Fit well around the rear.
Have inside a band that is supposed to help create a smaller tum. Not sure it works!
CONS: I think the legs are too wide. I am only 5 foot 1 and I prefer trousers that are more narrowly cut even in the bootleg range.
Length 27 ins. With high-heels they are a bit "short".
Conclusion: You are quite right! I should try jeans on in a shop that has different brands/ranges.
(I didn't know what to do with my hands!!).
