I need HONEST opinions about how these might or might not work for me, keeping Angie's advice in mind (to only add items that work with my style and needs). Are they too western? Too silly? Not versatile enough?

I think a couple of forum members have these boots - how do you style them? Do they work with skinnies? Skirts?

I can only wear mine with bootcuts. If you aren't feeling bootcuts these days, they might be a problem. I have the taupe.

Oh, Rita - do you have any outfit pictures? Do you think you could wear them with skirts or with slouchy pants? I don't wear bootcuts often enough to justify that limitation.

I also wear my Carson shorties (taupe) only with bootcuts, so I'm no help! Since they bookend so well with my hair, mine are in constant rotation 3 seasons a year. (see photos)

Not sure how they would work with skinnies or slouch trousers, but I think sarah wears hers with skirts and dresses....

I can see them with skirts/dresses but I'm not sure about with slouchy trousers - it would depend on the ankle of the pants.

I think you can totally rock these. IMO western boots are very glam rock, which sits well with the UWP vibe. Plus, with your skin tone, I feel like the orange would be fairly low contrast, so they'd go with skirts, too.

They don't really see that much action.... they are spring only boots for me and spring only lasts about 5 minutes around here.

I wear my carson shorties under bootcuts and with skirts/dresses. I don't wear them with skinnies because I generally don't like skinnies tucked into anything lower than mid-calf, and they are too bulky to fit under straight legs. I am considering selling mine, though, as they give me massive ball-of-foot pain for some reason that no amount of inserts and orthotics has been able to remedy. (I believe Jean also had this problem with her taller carsons, but everybody else seems to find them comfortable, so it may just be my bizarre feet.) In any case, these days I am afraid to wear them any time I have to do significant walking (which is every commuting day, so that doesnt' leave me many times to wear them).

I have these in tan and they work as summer shoes for me. I wear them only with shorts, skirts and dresses. My bootcuts are all hemmed for heels and I found them too high contrast for my taste when tucked into skinnies.
