The One Image That Says It All

Came across my favorite all time Pinterest style photo. This outfit, this look, is so perfectly me. I want to dive into that outfit and live the rest of my life in it. If I could recreate this I would in a heartbeat. I would ask to be buried in this outfit.

Have you ever come across one idea, one image, that so personified your own personal style? That just nailed it for you for all time?

I am going to make a serious study of this outfit and try and not just copy it, but live it. To make a style statement out of it.

For me Rick Owens personifies my personal style. I am always looking for items that reflect his stylings.

Your "one" picture reminds me of Olivia Palermo and her style.

Agree it is STUNNING, such a beautifully stylish woman with the best wardrobe. I'd love to dive it to her whole closet! Olivia is such a classy dresser. I can see you replicating this in some form and looking just as stunning. There are many sensational looks out there that I love, it is too hard for me to pin point just one.

No I can't say that I have. I receive such creative inspiration from life on a daily that no one thing can define who I am. Because I am always BECOMING.

What stimulates the passion for this one fit?
Why is,this the one that would take you to the end?
Is this a feeling or emotional connection?
Emotions are so fluid like fashion is. Who I was in my teens is not who I was in my 20s same for my 30s and 40s

Although seeing you fashion in the past I can see this being something you are drawn to.

That outfit does seem like you! Sunny, textured, bling, polished yet effortless...

As for me, no -- I have never seen one image that would do it for me for all time.

Gorgeous image - I can see why you're drawn to it. There's wonderful colour, texture, shine and interest combined with wardrobe basics.
I love the idea that a simple outfit - jeans, white top and black pumps - can become something red carpet worthy with the addition of the statement coat, necklace and clutch.
I think that her natural easy hairstyle and minimal makeup are key too don't you?

Isn't that Olivia Palmora?...If I were you, I would dissect this one piece by piece and analyze why it speaks so loudly to you...YOu may find some style suggestions that perhaps you havn't thought of yet...

Very nice, and yes, I can totally see this as your style.

Like others have said, I have seen many photos that I find inspiring in some way, but never one that sums up everything I want in my style. I crave variety and enjoy changing things up too much.

#2-4 are images that have been with me from childhood...

but #5... maybe that should be my one... Lilypup feels that's surely her who could be hanging with the Queen!

Very interesting thread! I don't know if I can narrow it down to one only for all time, but when I reviewed my Pintrest board in that light - looking for "the one" - something very interesting happened. I still loved all of the pins. They are things that I would wear in my every day life, and feel fabulous doing so! But only two gave me that "I would live in this moment, this is the essence of me" sort of feeling you describe. It was extremely enlightening! I realize that much of what I wear or want to wear actually feels a little bit like a costume. It's okay. Costumes can be fun and helpful. It's pretty much how I live anyway. I weigh my words and try to say exactly what I want people to hear and know - particularly in a professional setting. But the real me, the comfortable me, would rather curl up on the sofa in my leggings and share a cup of coffee with you and have a heart to heart. So these were the two that spoke to me in a similar way that yours did... Faded, comfy, soft, quiet, and real. Ahhhhhh.
