The new jeans - too much scrunch?

Here's an outfit I wore today featuring my new Levi's skinny jeans! I know they might be a bit too distressed/casual looking for some, but I love them. The fit is great and the rise is comfy and not too high/low.

I'm just wondering if these might be a few inches too long. They are 34'' long. Should I get them hemmed to 32'' inches - that will shorten them and leave a little bit of scrunchiness. 30-31'' will be ankle length and therefore too short.

What do you ladies think?

Fab outfit! I see what you mean- that's a lot of scrunch. If you're not a fan of rolling your pant legs then I agree that hemming is a good option.

Love those jeans. I like a bit of scrunch but I think those need to be hemmed a few inches.

Yes, I would hem them a few inches. Do you plan on wearing them with heels? That would determine the hem length for me.

I don't mind that much scrunch at all. I think it's personal preference. You could lose a few inches from the bottom and they'd look fine, too.

Personally, I think you (and the jeans) look great!

I like my skinny jeans to have some scrunch at the bottom but these might have a bit too much. I think hemming them would be a good idea, but it's a personal preference.

I second Anne - it's a matter of personal opinion and taste. Frankly, this is not too much scrunch for me; I kinda like the churidar effect :). I have the same situation w a pair of black skinnies that I have decided not to hem. Plus, when I roll and tuck into boots, the additional fabric helps to hold the jeans in place. You look great, BTW. The bright colors are just the ticket for a gray winter day. Nice to see you post again!

Gorgeous, Kirti! I would probably hem a bit myself, but as others have said, it's just preference. These seem to fit great! What about a second pair in a different wash as well? They will really increase your winter options.

By the way, I am wearing the earrings you sent almost every day! It is amazing how handy they've come in; clearly I needed sometihng exactly like those chunky little hoops! Thank you again SO much!

Love this outfit and the jeans look really good. Agreed its personal preference re the scrunch. In like scrunch on my skinnies but if it were me I might be tempted to hem these a little...:)

Also, just looked at your 2012 faves, *love* all your colourful looks. I don't want to generalize/stereotype, but I feel like maybe you are bringing a colourful Indian sensibility to Western clothes? Whatever the influence, I love it. I work with several Indo Canadian woman who I know wear beautiful saris, etc, to weddings etc. but for their work wardrobes default to a LOT of black. I often secretly wonder how they can give up all the beautiful colour that I know they enjoy for special occasions, and that I am frankly quite envious of!

I like the scrunch on these. I don't think you need to hem unless it's uncomfortable (like you're stepping on the hem or something). The only time I think skinnies need to be shortened is if they are scrunching up at the knee.

To my eye these could be shortened a little bit, but they don't need to be. Basically, what do YOU want to do? Because there's no wrong here.
The fit looks great, so glad you found some perfect jeans.
