The NAS waiting game

I think I post this every year, but here goes...
How long are your NAS orders taking to come in? I remember that Nordstrom does not have the fastest shipping system. I'm especially anxious because I'm wondering if I'll have some of my items before Aug 4th so that I can order more if nothing works.
Also, I seem to remember that after NAS you can do even exchanges of NAS merchandise if they still have it in stock. Is this right? Can this be done w/ online orders? Or only in store?

You can exchange at the same price after the sale if it's still in stock. Also with online orders. Not an issue.

Orders do take a while by US standards to arrive, I think. Mine have been sent but not delivered (and I'm shipping to the US).

For my first order, I ordered on Thursday and it was delivered on Wednesday. I think that's about standard for Nordstrom? I boxed up my returns and sent them out on Saturday. Then I ordered a few more pieces and I am hoping that those might arrive on Friday. I like Zappos and Amazon's shipping!

I feel your pain. I ordered some online only items the second day of pre-selection and still haven't received most of what I ordered. I want a different color in the one item that did arrive but that color is sold out in my size. I'm concerned this will be the case with a lot of items. Sizes and colors are now getting sold out. Also, no double points like there was the first few days of pre-selection.

Annoying! I wish they would at least let you do expedited shipping for a reasonable fee. The one time I did pay for it, they took several days to get the package to UPS. I asked for a refund and got it. Nordstrom has great customer service but that doesn't extend to fast shipping IMO.

Mine are scheduled to arrive on Wed or Thurs, and I ordered on Friday. I think that's reasonable since it's not expedited shipping. But I am really impatient and would like them to be here right now.

ETA: Nice to know that I can exchange if I need to and not worry about timing!

This year mine took from 3 to 5 business days to be delivered - but I shipped to the Nordstrom store, don't know if this makes a diffeence in time.

I ordered on Friday and haven't seen anything arrive yet. The anticipated dates are wed/thurs this week, which would be 4-5 business days for me.

I placed two orders with multiple items each last Thursday and Friday, and everything is on the UPS truck this morning and "out for delivery." I am on the east coast, so I am pleased with delivery time. It was all scheduled to be delivered at the end of the week, originally.

Traci, I find the shipping times frustrating, too. It's usually about a week, sometimes more. I wish that free expedited delivery was one of the things you could get with a Nordstrom card. Seems like they could do that for Level 2 cardholders, anyway!

Depends on where you live. The main distribution center is in IA. I live in IL so I get my packages in 2 days.

Yes, the free but sl-o-o-o-o-w shipping, lol! If I remember correctly, I called customer service when the jeans I ordered last year didn't fit. They arranged to exhange them for another size, even though the sale would be over by the time my package reached them and they processed the return. I was pleased that they honored the sale price (but bummed out that neither pair worked).

I am impatiently awaiting the items I ordered on 20 July. Tracking says they are expected to arrive 28 July. Aargh! Well, at least it's before the end of the sale--not that it matters, really, for exchanges. I'm so bored waiting, though, that I had to look up this thread to post on it again.

I'm in WI and did end up getting my packages the day I posted this. I never saw the shipping confirmation email.

The new waiting game is waiting for cool enough temps to wear my items!
