I went to the mall on Saturday, mainly because I have just received a very generous gift card for Club Monaco from my BFF - a very late Xmas gift ( we haven't seen each other for two months). I absolutely adore CM, but at full price they tend to be out of my comfort zone, so the gift card was a special treat.
It turned out that they had an absolutely amazing sale going on, some items marked down as much as 80-90 % off their original price. I also found some similarly amazing deals in other stores, so this turned out to be probably the best shopping day of my life. For those who prefer a single link to the whole album, here it is:

So, I ended up getting 7 items at CM, for which after sales, student discount and my gift card I ended up paying the grand total of $80, while the original prices added to about $800!
1. White cotton summer dress

I actually had a white sundress on my spring list! I don't know if this qualifies as a sundress, probably not - I think of sundresses as ones with straps or halter style, but anyway, it will serve the purpose.
2. White/black striped blazer

This is actually the only item that I have a question on: Should I have it taken in at the waist? It has a little part that sticks out like a peplum, and I don't know if it is intentional. It looks OK with the dress, but sticks out with jeans.
3. Cute white knitted top - it has a small keyhole opening that ties at the neck in the back

4. Black wool striped turtleneck

5. Grey silk top - this is my 'stepping out of the box' item - it's quite voluminous and should work with clamdiggers. I normally go for waist defining styles, so decided to try something new.

6. Blue color block top

7. White silk blouse, which happens to be named 'Angie', that I have been drooling over for months:

I also had great luck at the other Canadian store, Jacob ( I love Canadian stores!), where I found these :
8. Black/cream striped SS wool sweater

9. Charcoal cowl neck top, it actually has a very cute origami detail that you can not see because my arm covers it in the photo:

I found the perfect black wool-blend waist coat at H&M, similar style to Maya's:

And finally, another incredible deal, this time at Benetton, a very soft cashmere purple cardi, marked down to $25, from originally over $200:

I am still flying high from this incredible day. I will not be shopping for a while after this, but it was so worth it. I am still waiting for some things I ordered online before this shopping trip.
