Thanks for chiming in and being a voice of reason, Angie. I always welcome your input.
I have the Sweeties on my feet right now -worn bc I knew they were least likely to go back. They're super comfy and I'm wondering why I didn't get some earlier. They are definitely the replacement for the long purged boots. Hands down a keeper.
Number 2 is what I was looking for when I was being sent to MN in Jan this year and just did without (in a snowstorm). I needed/wanted a winter weatherproof dress boot with a heel that was appropriate for work in harsher climates than my own (I am a consultant so even if it's wet or snowy I have to "look the part"). It's possible that they won't get *that* much wear, but they'll be there when I need them - more than I can say for the last trip.
Number 3 could possible split wears with my rubber rain boots and/or number 1. However I am rationalizing them with the following thoughts - 1. they're patent and I love them
2. they were the cheapest of the lot at $135 - not cheap, but compared with local prices an outright bargain
3. We do have a rainy season where it rains every day and prior to the Aquatalia-lypse I only had one pair of rubber rain boots (aigle)
Actually all 3 could be worn for work, which is good. As I prepared for this trip I realized I was lacking in winter work appropriate footwear. I think that's how I ended up bringing the peeptoes along this week in the absence of other options.
Re them all being black, for work I do tend to wear black and darker shoes. I wear lighter footwear more casually. I had strayed from black footwear but I do think there is a place for it in my closet when chosen thoughtfully (and found on sale, haha).
Again, all feedback welcome, and thanks, Angie for reminding me to keep my head on straight even when in the face of a seeming bargain. It's possible in a year I look back and think I probably didn't need all 3, but I'm willing to take that risk. I also look at it as - one pair at full price is about what I paid for all three. Yes, rationalizing at its best.
