I liked the first one just fine. The second one was ok. I didn't finish the third book. Coming from someone that finishes almost every book she picks, (including long and tough books like Crime and Punishment, The Red and the Black or Anna Karenina, or sagas like Twilight, Hunger Games or Harry Potter) this means something. I guess I didn't find it engaging enough and got bored of the style, themes, characters. I have yet to see the film (haven't seen either versions).
I wasn't that sensitive back then though and I wonder if I could read them now. I suffered through the 'Dexter' pilot just yesterday and I don't feel like watching any other episode, no matter how good the series is. Maybe I'm getting softer...
