Ladies I finished the mega purge. This was not a baby purge - it was the motherload. I have never been so brutal. It was long and arduous. At the start it was pretty easy but it got progressively more and more difficult. So many doubts, feelings of wastefullness crept in, should I save it for later, worked hard to pay for these items, are they dated? I ended up going to the original thread and writing down all of the tips and taping them on the wall. I started taking photos of the ? to ask the YLF if they were keepers. I reminded myself that others might find happiness from these items. I felt like I was a hoarder at one point.
I took a long break and then went back at it.
When I got back to it, I realized I don't want to keep handling all of these items that that I will not wear. It takes time and energy - it gets in your head. Those items went right back to the toss pile, including all of the "should I keep" items. In fact, I did not post a single should I keep. I decided if I need to ask that, I need to purge it because it didn't make my list.
At the end I had 7 large green garbage bags. I went through all seasons, shoes, bags, workout gear, jewelry, the lot. I didn't do winter outwear. I did keep one box of items that I still like but the fit wasn't quite right (thanks for that tip).
So a huge hug and thank you to all of those who helped me - it was truly a huge help.
