I went to the mall (Old Orchard in Skokie this time) on a sunny day, making an effort to visit stores I haven't been to, and thorough rounds of Nordstrom and Macy's. I conclude that online shopping is The Way for me. There is so much out there that doesn't apply to my life now - office wear, heels, dressy/formal wear, shapewear, jewelry, etc. I still enjoy visiting specific sections of department stores, but I'm usually there to return something I bought online.

On the other hand, I found really good white t-shirts at Banana Republic, in the men's section. 100% Supima, narrow cut, wide-ish collar - https://bananarepublic.gap.com.....8;cid=8011. Also available for a lower cost but still fine quality at BR Factory. Comparable to COS, but not boxy in shape. As to sizes, I am reliably an XL in women's tops, and a Large in men's tops.

I only wear white t-shirts under sweaters, so I like them to fit fairly close. I have broad shoulders and am not petite, so a men's cut fits me well. And the quality is SO MUCH BETTER.

Here's what I wore - emphasis on comfort head to toe.
