Yes, I know Angie has explained how to wear long necklaces with a full bust, and I also know from experience that her guidelines work. But hear me out:

I really like the long pendant trend -- it plays right into my love of jewelry, and on paper it looks like an easy and inexpensive way to add a current touch to my decidedly non-70's style. But here's the deal -- I have a *very* large chest and almost always wear low-cut tops in order to accommodate it. I know the long chain/pendant trend usually encompasses pieces that fall well below the bust, but by and large I favour necklaces that stop somewhere before the fabric on my top begins. Exactly how long does the chain + pendant have to be to look on trend? I guess I'm wondering exactly how much latitude I have to play around with this one. I'm going to a great mom and pop jewelry store later this afternoon, so I'd be tremendously psyched if I could have some guidelines sooner than later.

P.S. I mostly wear silver and am thinking of sticking with that colour for the necklace...do the current looks cover all metals or is gold the heavy favourite?
